I stood for a moment near the entrance to the courtyard stunned. Without warning Zigor had exploded in a rage of hatred. Spouting angry jesters and even attempting to mar me, despite the fact that I was several paces away from him. I was momentarily confused, but soon shook it from my head as Zigor flew off. Although I had been surprised by the outburst, it was not completely unexpected. I knew Zigor was unusual, and now I know how he was able to be comprised of both material and apparitional qualities. He was a spectre, a shade to be exact, comprised almost entirely of pure hatred. I had never met one before, but I knew of them. Zigor must have had a horrible death to be that full of rage, but if he was going to lose himself at some point, now would be better than later, when he might have also hurt someone else. It was probably inevitable, since a being of that nature would find nothing but fault in everything else. It was only a matter of time until it found the excuse it needed to lash out once again.
I sighed as I took a glance at the shattered remnants of the rune I had made. It was a pity that it was destroyed so harshly, it had taken me a while to create it. There was no point in relishing in the past though. As I was thinking about what to do next another presence entered the area.
"Hey Zaulche! What's going on? I heard a noise."
It was Yusuki. I was wondering how long she was going to sleep. I turned to face her and replied, "Zigor has decided that he will not be traveling with us."
With that I started back towards the entrance, approaching Yusuki as I did so. I decided now would be a good time to see how everyone else was doing.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked. Then I added, "Have you seen Air?"
